"Go Into The World And Preach The Gospel"
One of the first ministries that Bob Tyson and the Good Samaritan
Baptist Mission started was Bible Training for young men called
into the ministry. In 1970, Bob started the first Bible School in
Condega, Nicaragua with just a few young men. His purpose from the
beginning was to train these men to win their own people to the
Lord. Many of the men that graduated from the Bible School in
Nicaragua are now starting churches and mission works in Mexico,
Costa Rica and Honduras. Everything that the mission does is
through the local church and that is why the training of National
Pastors is so important to our ministry.
Our Bible School has grown from one room, to a old run down hotel
in Nicaragua, to now a beautiful building in Comali, Honduras which
will seat over 1,000 people. We have full facilities including
dormitories, class rooms, and a large cafeteria for the
students.
Our favorite day of the year is in November when we celebrate the
graduation of the third year Bible School Students. Our Building is
packed out with people who come from churches all around Honduras
and Nicaragua to celebrate this great day. This is the day when we
see Bob Tyson’s vision completed in the lives of these men.
One of the rules to enter our school is that you must already be
working in a mission or in a church. We want men who are called and
are already involved in the ministry. All students are on
scholarship and all funds to run this ministry are received from
supporters in the United States. This is a great ministry and we
ask for your prayers and support.
These men leave their families to study God’s Word and they need
your support. You cannot imagine what an offering will do to help
them in their studies.
