I agree with you that it has been too long.  Hope you and all your family are well.  I am still able to work, thank the Lord.  Maybe our paths will cross again sometime.  Do you still go to Grace?

Report from Joan Tyson

January 27, 2010Dear Friends and Co-Labourers,Greetings from “chilly” Honduras. We have had some strange weather lately, and some of the coldest that I have ever experienced. It warmed up for a few days but now is turning cold again. My heart goes out to the little children and elderly who live in little huts without any kind of heat. I thank the Lord for all the warm clothing that came in the container. I picked out the jackets, childrens clothes for cold weather, blankets, etc., and gave to…See More

Journey up a Mountain

I want to write this while my heart is still full and running over with joy from the blessings we received Saturday and Sunday from a wonderful missionary journey to Nicaragua. I thank the Lord He is still giving me these wonderful experiences and I am still able to go to faraway places to see what God has done in places that I never imagined I would be able to go.It all started a few weeks ago when one of the pastors in Nicaragua told me that one of our churches was planning a "BIG" service in…See More

Graduation in Los Ranchos

This morning I was invited to the 6th grade graduation of a little public school way back in the mountains of Honduras, past the village of Duyusupo and on up the mountains to a community called Los Ranchos. What a surprise when I walked in and there was a large banner across the little one-room school house that read, “Joan Tyson, Madrina of our Graduation”. This meant that I was chosen to be the special guest or “godmother” of their graduation. The reason for their honoring me in this way was…See More

I am so glad for the update. We have really been wondering about your safety and all the Christians there. God is surely watching over you every minute. It was so good to see all of you in July. What a big blessing in my life. God bless you all.

Joan Tyson Report from Honduras

Posted on September 28, 2009 at 1:10pm 13 Comments

Yesterday was a wonderful day. I felt like I was sitting in heavenly places. My morning started at 5:30 a.m. when I tried to see if there was a curfew which would hinder my trip to Nicaragua to participate in the celebration of the 440th anniversary of translation of the Spanish Bible. Finding no curfew, we left at 7:15 for Palacaquina, Nicaragua where the Good Samaritan churches in Nicaragua were gathering for the Bible Day march.

The march started in front of the First Baptist… Continue
