GOOD TO SEE THE TYSON'S AT FBCL THIS PAST SUNDAY 10/9/11.

The singing was fantastic, I really enjoyed it. This time with the words on the screen brought home the beautiful songs. I am so glad to be a child's sponsor, I took the opportunity to encourage my Sunday school class to sponsor.  I wish I could do more.  I made the trip  to Honduras in 2006 with FBCL and met my child, every time a mission goes out now I want to go again. The people that I met there are so sweet and happy and I left a piece of my heart there.

 On Sunday Joan mentioned that it was a totally different culture and it truly is.  It is not the rat race that we live in. Most people are poor and live in huts with dirt floors and sleep in hammocks hung up in the house or on pallets few have traditional beds as most Americans do. They smile with the love of Jesus. It makes me wonder if we didn't have so much and live our fast pace microwave lives would we trust God more?  If we had to really worry how we were going to feed our family  the next meal could we smile and be happy within the Hope of Christ. I hope so!
