This is a picture of the reconstruction of the church in Iztoca, Honduras. We want to thank everyone who gave toward this project. The people here are very happy and we know that God is going to bless you. Thank you once again.

We have been back in Honduras for a week and everyday has been filled with new experiences in the Lord´s work. The political situation is very quiet right now, in fact, it seems more calm to me than ever. We are used to being stopped at checkpoints but most of the time now they just wave us on by. We pray that after the elections in November that the world will see that Honduras wants peace and democracy. It makes me have more respect for this small nation who has stood alone against dictatorship and for democracy. It made me feel good when I heard that Israel is helping Honduras economically. It almost sounds like two small nations standing alone…
We have six people from the states visiting with us right now – Don and Evelyn Eckard, along with their grandson, Matt, are here working in the dental clinic and Tony and Edie Middlebrooks, along with Mickey Turpin, are here to film a documentary for Tony and Edie to use as they represent Good Samaritan in the US to get help for the children and pastors. We are having a busy week as they are not only filming and working in the clinic but Matt, a young Bible School student, is giving out food bags.
Yesterday, I met with about 60 pastors and this was such a blessing to me. There was a wonderful spirit as one by one they stood to tell of the Lord´s blessings – salvations, baptisms, weddings, etc. In the church in El Corpus 22 were baptized, another reported 18 baptisms. I am so thankful to the Lord that He is allowing me to be a part of this wonderful work. I cannot preach but I can try and help these men of God by writing letters, trying to get them support so they can feed their families or buy gasoline or pay a bus to go way back in the mountains and preach the Gospel. As I told them yesterday, soon this is all going to end and the only thing that will count is what we have done for our Lord Jesus Christ.
The only sad thing was when Pastor Antonio Suarez stood to tell about losing his precious young wife to cancer. He spent the last 29 days with her in the Government hospital in Tegucigalpa, sleeping in a chair or on the floor, taking care of her as though she were a baby and he said he would do it over and over again. She is now at home with her little girl who died about 2 years ago. Sometimes it seems to me that there are people born to suffer and Brother Antonio is one of them but he has brought honor and glory to the Lord throughout all this suffering.
On Sunday morning we were with Pastor Danilo Hernandez in El Triunfo – the church was filled and we were amazed at how so many children could be so quiet. Danilo and his wife are doing a wonderful work here. In the afternoon we passed by the church of Iztoca. All I can say is: WHAT A BEAUTIFUL CHURCH, and so many of you had a part in this. You would be blessed to see what a blessing you have brought to these people. Thank you from the bottom of my heart.
I say that I am not going to start any more projects right now but in the pastors meeting, one of the young pastors stood and began to tell how the Lord had blessed in CHUPADERO. At present they are meeting in a mud church that is about to fall in, one that the people built a few years ago. My heart was touched, as usual, and when I asked him when he and his people could knock the mud walls down, he quickly answered “TOMORROW”….That brought a laugh from all the pastors. They were offering to loan him picks and shovels. I told him to tear it down…I feel perfect peace in my heart about this and I believe that together we can all build a pretty church in Chupadero as we have in Iztoca. I know that God repays when we do something for His honor and glory. The total cost of the Iztoca church, which included a new floor, was $24,000.00 and the Lord provided every cent. It will cost about the same in Chupadero.
WE HAVE SET UP A PLACE ON OUR ONLINE STORE WHERE YOU CAN DONATE TO THE BUILDING OF THE CHUPADERO CHURCH.

This has turned out to be a long letter and I didn’t mean it to be but in just one week so much has happened. I am so thankful to be back and to have the health to still work for the King of Kings and Lord of Lords, our Lord Jesus Christ. From the bottom of my heart, I say thank you and I love everyone of you in the Lord.
