Baptism with Pastor Beningo Rodriguez

​This weekend, Pastor Benigno Rodriguez baptized 8 people in the river in Nacaome. It was one of the most touching baptisms we had been to in a long time. A few of the candidates gave testimonies. Here are their stories:

-One lady shared that her husband and son were shot and killed by hired hitmen. While they were shooting her son, she even had to throw herself on top of her son's body shouting, "please stop shooting him, he's already dead." She had a cantina in her house and not long after they were shot, she gave her life to the Lord, took down the cantina leaving only a small store in her home, and now is getting baptized! Needless to say, there were many tears!

-Another lady shared that her husband was drunk and got severely beat up by some other men and was left for dead. He was taken to the hospital and almost died. God healed him and he gave his life to Jesus. Both he and his wife were getting baptized in this post.

-A young man came up last and shared that he had almost committed suicide, but he gave his heart to Jesus and now everything is different.

Pastor Benigno gave an invitation at the end and 2 people came forward to give their lives to the Lord! It was an amazing thing to witness. Truly when the Holy Spirit comes into your heart, there is change. There is transformation!

We thank Pastor Benigno's faithfulness. It is evident that he shares the love of Jesus with his people. It was a blessing to be there!
