Schools are still closed in #Honduras and students are doing school virtually. Here’s a story that will give you a taste of what that’s like for students in Honduras.
One of our high school teachers traveled to a village back in the mountains to visit one of her students who wanted to drop out. Her purpose was to encourage the student to continue his studies. On the way there, she saw a group of girls sitting on the side of the road and she realized they were Good Samaritan students. Wait till you hear what they were doing. These girls walked 45 minutes from their homes to sit at this spot on the side of the dirt road because on that exact spot...they can get cellphone service/internet to do their school work on their phones. This is the current reality of what our students are doing to get their education. We are thankful to God for faithful sponsors to provide this education for these kids, for faithful teachers that teach as best they can in spite of crazy circumstances, and for faithful students that will do whatever it takes to get an education and make something of themselves! Now that’s a story worth sharing! |
