Go Tell It on the Mountain!
How beautiful upon the mountains are the feet of him that bringeth good tidings, that publisheth peace; that bringeth good tidings of good, that publisheth salvation; that saith unto Zion, Thy God reigneth! Isaiah 52:7
Dear Friends of Good Samaritan,
September marked our 30th year of Samaritan Radio Network being on the air sharing the gospel daily with many throughout parts of Central America. This accomplishment comes only from the help of the Lord and His faithful followers who have come alongside us through the years. From high atop the mountains of Honduras, good tidings of peace and salvation have been proclaimed. The Lord has given us many souls for our labors during this time, and we give Him all the praise.
As we come to the end of 2021, Samaritan Radio Network is asking for your help with two specific needs: 1) $50,000 to meet the year-end 2021 budget; and 2) to raise our monthly support base to meet the monthly budget in 2022.
This is a substantial amount of money, but I would like to give you some perspective that may help you understand how the radio is still a cost effective way to reach many with the gospel.
One of the Christian radio stations in our local city in the United States recently had their fall share-a-thon and their year-end gift drive. Praise the Lord, they met both their goals raising over $330,000. They use three FM stations to broadcast daily. These two offerings alone would take care of the annual budget on all eight of our Central America stations being on the air for several years! As you can see, radio in Central America is still very cost effective.
So, why are we struggling to stay on the air? The answer is very simple. Christian Radio is listener supported. The people of Central America do not have the means to support the radio. We see the radio as the spiritual “Feed the Hungry” Program - giving the Bread of Life to those who are starving spiritually and who are not able to hear the Message unless someone with compassion makes the sacrifice to give what they cannot.
We are praying for more than 200 new monthly partners as we go into 2022. Please consider donating to this great need. Help us continue to “Go tell it on the mountain that Jesus Christ is Lord.” What a wonderful gift to give this Christmas season!
Please know that we are so thankful for each of you that are already supporting Samaritan Radio. We are asking our supporting churches, Sunday School classes, and individuals to help us pray and share our needs with those you know.
